ABOUT THE ARTIST

As a New York-based artist, Dimitri is a freelancer. While primarily preferring oil on canvas as a medium of choice, he also uses the digital art format to expand more opportunities for expression in his work. Using both in tandem, to show what makes both mediums stand out and similar. Some of his inspirations are from the works of the post-impressionist era of art. Such as Paul Cézanne, Vincent Van Gogh, and Eduard Munch, and graphic work is inspired by Saul Bass and Naoto Oshima.

Dimitri has a background in Painting and Graphic design for almost 10 years. He has been represented in galleries in Patchogue, Brooklyn, and the website Artsy. He has received the Staller Award of Excellence. He has received an associate’s degree in graphic design from Suffolk Community College and a bachelor’s degree in fine arts with a minor in digital arts media, from Stony Brook University.
